I live in (sunny-cloudy-rainy-snowy-sunny again) Madison Wisconsin, with my lovely wife and brilliant children (college fund contributions accepted).

I work as a policy advisor in the Secretary’s Office of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. What that really means is that I read, write, and send email, just like every other knowledge worker in the world.

I have degrees in mathematics and law from the University of Wisconsin and in (environmental) economics from Michigan State University. My goal in life is to show my colleagues that economics offers much more to policy people than input-output models or business-speak. More of that topic at Policy Economist.
